Bridgeport Hospital's Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center has published Let the Butter Fly, a spiral-bound, 250-page cookbook containing recipes from patients, their family members and Center staff. Preparation of the book was overseen by a committee headed by Sally Cascella, the Center's senior nurse educator. Center Vice President of Development/Executive Director Donna Twist was also on the committee, as were Center volunteers Alicia Berry and Sonya Hitt. The book includes a 15-page appendix on nutritional information such as making the right food choices, calorie counts and tips on decreasing fat intake. Artwork for the cover and section dividers was provided by Stratford photographer Genevieve Schulick. Cascella explains in the book's preface: "Food brings nourishment, comfort, pleasure and joy. As you read through Let the Butter Fly, our hope is that you will find a recipe that will offer comfort, remind you of a happy memory, be it with family of friends,\r\n bring pleasure either by cooking it or eating it or both, and nourish your soul!" The cookbook is available for $17 through the Center's Bridgeport Hospital office at 384 - 3392, or through the Fairfield office at 255 - 5300. Proceeds will support patient care and support programs. Part of the Norma F. Pfriem Cancer Institute at Bridgeport Hospital, the Norma F.
