Bridgeport Hospital offers special parking close to the Emergency Department entrance—that’s just for Moms in labor! We know that you may be in a hurry to arrive in the Labor & Delivery Suite, and we will do all that we can to make this as easy as possible for you.

Directions:

1. Follow the signs to the Emergency Department and the Emergency Department parking area from Mill Hill Avenue. Directions to Bridgeport Hospital
2. Turn into the Emergency Department parking area and drop Mom off at the entrance to the Emergency Department.
3. Circle around, park in the Maternity “Stork” parking spaces to the right of the Emergency Department entrance and join Mom in the Emergency Department.
4. A Security Officer will greet you inside the Emergency Department entrance and will assist Mom into a special wheelchair.
5. An Emergency Department staff member will wheel Mom and escort Dad/Birth Partner to the Labor & Delivery Suite.
6. Once Mom is comfortable in the Labor & Delivery Suite, please move your car from the Maternity “Stork” parking area to Bridgeport Hospital’s Kaulbach Parking Pavilion on Grant Street. This will allow other families to use the Maternity “Stork” parking spaces.
