Children's Emergency Center

Located in the hospital’s Emergency Department, The Children’s Emergency Center is open from 3 p.m.-11 p.m., seven days a week, to provide specialized emergency care for children. With this service, parents can get swift help for ill or injured little ones, even after doctors’ offices are closed. Remember though, if your child is bleeding profusely, unconscious, or not breathing, dial 911 for an ambulance. For more information call 203-384-3566.

HealthyHappyKidz

HealthyHappyKidz is a free nutrition and fitness program for overweight children. This nine-week program tailored to the elementary school-aged child promotes healthy eating with guidance from registered dietitians and fitness instruction and education provided by certified fitness trainers and physical therapists. Lifeline

Live more securely in your own home 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

For more than 30 years, Lifeline has enabled millions of people to live with greater independence, peace of mind and dignity in the place they feel most comfortable - their own homes.  Because the Lifeline service also helps family caregivers to balance the needs of their loved ones with the demands of their own busy lives, Lifeline is of immense benefit to them as well.  Lifeline is a 24-hour personal emergency response program appropriate for all ages.  Trained staff members are available at the touch of a button to call emergency personnel and family members, for both medical and non-medical situations.  A daily check-in feature helps let working parents know when kids are home from school.

PATH (Parents Available to Help)

PATH is an information and support network of families who have experienced a difficult pregnancy, premature birth, the loss of a child or have a child with medical and/or developmental concerns. 

This service provides informational, social and one to one support for parents who have premature babies, as well as for young children with medical problems. Including those discharged from the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, and for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies.

SurgEase Pre-Admission Tours

SurgEase Pre-Admission Tours: Tours of the Ambulatory Department for Pediatric patients are scheduled for outpatient surgery.

The purpose is to learn what to expect and how to make the SurgEase experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

The entire staff maintains competencies in all age groups of children. We are currently building a special pediatric waiting area with fish tanks, play houses, Nintendo, VCR, books etc. We have a board certified pediatric anesthesiologist always available.

Our youngest patients are scheduled as the first cases of the day.
