Dr. Steven Laifer attended Downstate Medical School and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Johns Hopkins University. He received his fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from University of Pittsburgh and was on the faculty staff there prior to coming to Connecticut. He is Board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is Section Chief, Obstetrics at Bridgeport Hospital. He has authored over 30 articles related to Maternal-Fetal Medicine. His interests include medical complications of pregnancy and prenatal diagnosis.
