"Project Heart Smart"
Are you at risk for heart disease? Or do you just want to make sure you don't become at risk? In just eight weeks you can lower your blood pressure, lose weight, reduce your stress levels, lower your bad cholesterol levels, raise your good cholesterol levels, and learn wise eating and exercise patterns that will help keep you healthy well into the future—with "Project Heart Smart."
"Project Heart Smart" is designed for people who have, or are at risk for, heart disease. Your "Project Heart Smart" team includes a cardiologist, cardiac rehabilitation nurses, a registered dietitian, and an exercise physiologist. Each meeting includes vital signs measurement, a full workout on various equipment, a stress reduction session, an educational program, and a full meal of delicious heart-healthy food.
There is a fee for the eight-week program, discounted for couples. Think of it as a two-month membership in a health spa, with personal health and dietary counseling, gourmet meals, and a "Project Heart Smart" tee shirt thrown in!
Space for this fun and informative program is limited and registration is required. To sign up, or for information on dates (new classes will start in Spring 2008), times, and costs, call our Healthy Heart Program (formerly Outpatient Cardiac Rehab), 1-888-357-2396.
