Injuries sustained on the job cost employers through replacement wages, treatment fees, and lost productivity. Swift treatment can lessen the severity of injuries and reduce costs.
Injuries treated at the IMC may include lacerations, contusions, abrasions, fractures, eye injuries, and occupational dermatitis.
- The IMC is available for initial injury treatment 24 hours a day in Bridgeport Hospital's Emergency Department.
- All follow-up care, referral to specialty care, and physical therapy sessions are managed by the IMC.
- Written reports outlining treatment are automatically sent to the employer.
- Ongoing communication with all parties involved in the treatment and care of the injured employee is maintained through our case management service to ensure prompt and safe return to duty.
