Online Donations — The Gift That Gives Three Times!

Women Embracing Are you looking for a way to honor your parents? remember your grandparents? thank the Heart Institute for saving your husband's life? give a meaningful gift to the person who already has everything? The Bridgeport Hospital Foundation has the perfect gift: generosity! And the perfect way to do it: online!

Online giving is just like online shopping—except that when you're done, you've helped make the world a better place. It's like giving twice—once to your loved one, and once to the community. Three times, if you count the fact that nothing makes you feel as good as giving!

Just go to the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation website, and click on "Donate Now." Then click on "Donate Online, using our secure server." Following the directions, use your credit card to make your donation. It's that easy! The Bridgeport Hospital Foundation will contact the individual or family you are recognizing, letting them know of the donation made in their honor.

You can give to the area of greatest opportunity at Bridgeport Hospital, or you can choose a specific unit or service to support. Five areas that the Foundation has targeted for special community support: the Dr. Andrew J. and Henrietta Panettieri Burn Center; the Heart Institute; the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center; the P.T. Barnum Pediatric Center; and the Pastoral Care Program. Updated information about each of these areas is included on the website, along with patient success stories. In all, there are 12 programs you can select from when designating your contribution.

"All information provided through the website will be kept confidential," says Steve Jakab, president of the Foundation. "For those who prefer more traditional ways of giving," he adds, "the Foundation is still happy to accept a check in person or in the mail."

The Foundation website can also be accessed from the home page of the Bridgeport Hospital website,
