Bridgeport, Milford and Shelton residents named employees of the quarter (October-December 2010) at Bridgeport Hospital

Mary Damilowski of Shelton, Holly Naclerio of Milford and David White of Bridgeport have been selected as Bridgeport Hospital’s Employees of the Quarter for October–December 2010. They were selected for their outstanding service to patients and co-workers.

White is a nurse in the Medical ICU who has been with the hospital since 2008. He was named the October Employee of the Month.

“David’s nomination reflects the traits that he demonstrates every day: being helpful, friendly and kind,” his nominators state. “Recently, David brought food and drinks to a family that stayed at a patient’s bedside throughout the day—even though David wasn’t assigned to that patient. His gesture allowed the family to remain in the room when the patient passed.”

Damilowski is the point-of-care coordinator for the Laboratory Department. A 25-year hospital veteran, she was chosen as November’s employee of the month.

Her nominators write: “Mary is the interface between the Laboratory and Nursing. She recently developed a program to help nurses and patient care technicians with specimen collection. She has gotten rave reviews from the nursing staff about the training, and the Lab staff is very happy with the quality of the specimens.”

Another employee with more than 25 years at the hospital, Naclerio is the assistant nurse manager of the Endoscopy Suite. She was named the December Employee of the Month.

“Holly is a quiet angel of caring,” according to her nominators. “She never puts herself before patients, staff or physicians. She has a quiet, calming demeanor and assures that the highest quality of care is maintained.”

Bridgeport Hospital’s employees of the quarter receive a plaque and a letter of commendation, and are eligible to be selected as employee of the year in May.
