People’s United Wealth Management to continue as lead corporate sponsor of Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center's Rose of Hope Luncheon

People’s United Wealth Management will be the lead corporate sponsor of the Rose of Hope Luncheon, an annual benefit for The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center, for a fourth year. The bank has been the lead corporate sponsor of Breast Care Center events for more than 12 years. The luncheon, which takes place in June, raises funds for the Center’s programs for underserved women.

“People’s United Wealth Management is pleased to continue to support the annual Rose of Hope Luncheon, which is an important source of funds for the counseling, educational and wellness programs provided by the Norma Pfriem Breast Care Center,” says Jo Ann Keller, Vice President of People’s United Wealth Management. “People’s is committed to promoting the health and well being of the community through its support of organizations like The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center.”

Retiring Vice President Kathy Morales has championed the bank’s support of the Breast Care Center as a way of recognizing the Center’s founder, Norma Pfriem. “The Breast Care Center was at the top of Norma’s list,” says Morales. “We wanted to carry on her legacy.”

Each year the Breast Care Center helps more than 500 women access free screening and diagnostic services through its Medically Underserved Initiative, the largest program of free care in the area. The annual luncheon, which raises funds to support this program, attracts more than 350 individuals annually, many of them breast cancer survivors, and takes place in Fairfield.

“People’s has been a wonderful supporter and friend,” says Donna Twist, PhD, the Breast Care Center’s Executive Director and Vice President, Development. “We’re especially grateful to Kathy Morales for her recognition of Norma’s contributions to the community and her steadfast support of the Breast Care Center. This gift will ensure that women receive quality care regardless of their financial situation.”
