Sponsors Help Make Rose of Hope Luncheon a Record Breaker

FAIRFIELD, CT – A generous group of sponsors helped make this year’s annual Rose of Hope Luncheon a record breaking success. The luncheon, held in June at the beautiful estate of Patti and Tom Keegan in Greenfield Hill, drew over 500 people and raised $302,000. The proceeds will help the Breast Care Center provide screening, diagnostic and other services to women in need, including those without sufficient health insurance coverage.

“We are fortunate to have so many committed supporters and friends,” says Dr. Donna Twist, Executive Director of the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center. “Their generosity ensures that we can continue to make a difference in the lives of women and their families.”

Leading the way was People’s United Wealth Management, which served as lead corporate sponsor of the Rose of Hope Luncheon for the fifth year. The Bank has a long history with the Center, serving as lead sponsor of an event every year since the Center was founded.

First Niagara Bank became the major corporate sponsor of the reception preceding the luncheon for the first time this year. Both organizations are interested in partnering with organizations that promote the health and well being of the community and provide services for those in need. Through sponsorships and grants to organizations like the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center, they aim to build strong communities where people have access to fundamental health and other services.

“We’re overwhelmed by their generosity,” says Twist. “It will help ensure the continuation of important breast cancer services to women and their families.”

Part of Bridgeport Hospital and Yale New Haven Health System, The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center has served more than 20,000 women and their families since it was established in 1999.
