Monroe, Shelton and Stratford residents
named employees of the quarter at Bridgeport Hospital
|Mary Dorland of Shelton, Lillian Grich of Monroe and David Harden of Stratford have been selected as Bridgeport Hospital’s employees of the quarter, April–June, for their outstanding service to patients and colleagues.|
Dorland, the April employee of the month, is a nurse in the hospital’s Angioplasty Suite. She has worked at the hospital for just one year.
“Mary delivers quality care to her patients and reminds us that patient care is about the whole person, including lifestyle and family,” her nominators write. “Mary has a very positive influence on those around her. She exemplifies the very best of what it means to be a nurse, team player and a mentor.”
An Emergency Department technician for nine years, Harden was chosen as the May employee of the month.
“David’s positive attitude makes him a role model for all staff members,” his nominators say. He takes pride in his work, greets everyone with a smile and a kind word, and is always ready for the next patient, request or unusual event.”
Selected as the June employee of the month, Grich is an acute care physical therapist who has been with the hospital for 25 years.
“Lillian is always willing to lend a hand,” according to her nominators. “Her patients love her and she shows caring and compassion in everything she does. Her clinical expertise is extensive and her enthusiasm and energy and contagious.”
Employees of the Quarter receive a plaque and a letter of commendation, and are eligible to be selected as Bridgeport Hospital’s Employee of the Year.
