All applicants receive a letter from the Admissions Office confirming receipt of the application.

Only completed applications will be reviewed for admission. References, essay, high school and college transcripts and proof of citizenship must be received by the application deadline in order to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Verification of dates and discharge status are required of applicants who have served in the military. An interview, although not mandatory, may be scheduled by the Admissions Coordinator. Once the school has received a completed application packet, the applicant will receive information regarding the TEAS pre-admission examination.

The Admissions Committee selects applicants for admission after thoroughly reviewing the applicant's file. Each applicant is notified by letter of the Committee's decision. The Faculty and Administration of the School reserve the right to refuse admission to an applicant if it is felt to be in the best interest of the School or the applicant.

Students selected for admission must send a non-refundable matriculation fee of $150.00 payable to Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing within two weeks of the postmarked acceptance letter to assure a place in the class.
