General Information
Students are admitted to the programs once a year in August. Qualified applicants are admitted without regard to race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, handicap or veteran status.
Applicants for whom English is not a primary language are required to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) exam. A minimum score of 500 is required.
Guidance is available to candidates about admission requirements. Not all qualified candidates can be accepted.
Transfer Credits
A grade of "C" or better must be earned for all required college courses. ("C-" is not acceptable.). These grades will be transferred as earned and added to the QPR during the semester in which the course is required.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
BHSN will accept CLEP examination scores. CLEP is the most extensive program of testing for college credit in the country. CLEP offers general examinations in liberal arts areas (e.g. English, Humanities), Math, Social Sciences, and History. Students may use the CLEP examination process to fulfill course requirements. Examinations should be scheduled and taken early enough so that, if unsuccessful, there is time to complete the required courses in the appropriate semester. Information is available through the affiliating college for granting of college credits.
Reapplication
An applicant who has previously applied to BHSN and has been placed on the wait list or has been rejected, or has withdrawn the application during the admission process is required to submit another application and fee to re-apply.
Transfer Students
Transfer students must meet the established admission criteria. Acceptance and placement of transfer students will be evaluated on an individual basis.
