Nursing Program Objectives
At the completion of the program of study, the graduate will:
- Integrate core knowledge from biological, behavioral, social and nursing sciences into nursing practice.
- Promote health preservation in clients of all ages incorporating the clients' perception of their diverse needs.
- Foster reciprocal caring relationships through communication and collaboration with clients, their significant others and the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Deliver holistic, competent nursing care that meets the needs of individuals, families and groups within a variety of settings.
Correlate the impact of society and the environment on health care needs.
- Practice critical thinking skills using inquiry methods, problem-solving and reflection.
- Practice with accountability and professionalism within the legal and ethical standards of the nursing profession.
