High School graduate or GED. The high school transcript must show completion of 16 units in college preparatory courses including 4 years of English, 2 years of Mathematics (1 year must be Algebra), 1 year of Biology with a Lab and 1 year of Chemistry with a Lab.
Records from secondary schools outside the United States must be in English or be translated by an approved translating agency. These will be evaluated on an individual basis.
High School Rank in the upper third of class, a Scholastic Aptitude Test (S.A.T.) total score greater than 800, and/or a College GPA of 2.8 or above preferred.
Prerequisite courses include: High School or College Chemistry with a lab and a minimum grade of C within the last 7 years. A 3 credit college level English Composition course is required prior to enrollment in the nursing program. The English Composition course grade is included in the GPA of the Nursing Program.
Students receive transfer credit for required college courses that have a minimum grade of C. Science courses must be taken within the last 7 years.
