Perioperative Nursing Program at a Glance

The duration of the program is 20 weeks and is offered periodically throughout the year. There are approximately 700 didactic and clinical hours in this full-time program.

Clinical Hours – the clinical component is 20-30 hours/week and includes out patient as well as inpatient surgery in a variety of specialties including but not limited to OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac and orthopedics.

Classroom Hours – the didactic component is 8 – 20 hours/week and includes lab practical time. The classroom environment, due to its small class size, offers an interactive classroom approach conducive to maximal learning.
