|Bridgeport Hospital’s Norma F. Pfriem Cancer Institute will host Survivor Safari, a free event for cancer survivors and their families, Saturday, June 22, 5–7:30 p.m., at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, 1875 Noble Ave., Bridgeport. Registration is required. Call 1-888-357-2396 by Monday, June 17.|
Survivor Safari is open to cancer survivors who have been or who are currently in treatment and their families. Limit five per family (survivor plus four family members).
Event co-sponsors are the Coca-Cola Kaulbach Memorial Golf Classic, CT Challenge and Vitas Hospice Care. The event includes complimentary zoo admission and parking, live music, face painting, crafts and scavenger hunts for children, massages and reflexology, and refreshments and dinner by David M. Grant Caterers and Mister Softee.
