The Cardiac Catheterization Lab


The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is where cardiologists determine if heart arteries are blocked. Angiograms shows x-ray pictures of the blood vessels on the surface of the heart. Angioplasty and placement of a stent, if needed, can be performed and clear the obstruction at that time.
