There’s nothing like comfort foods to warm our hearts and souls: Crunchy fried chicken, eggplant parmesan, carrot cake, potato latkes, pierogi, lasagna, chilaquiles, pecan pie.… But our favorite meals aren’t often heart-healthy.

Heart Smart Comfort Food: New Approaches to Old Favorites

Bridgeport Hospital would like to retool your favorite recipes to reduce the salt, fat and sugar and increase the nutritional value – without sacrificing the taste! Submit your favorite comfort food recipes* (up to 3) using the submission form below. In your submission, tell us briefly why this recipe is special to you and your family.

Transformed recipes will be included in Bridgeport Hospital’s upcoming Heart Smart cookbook, to be published in the coming months. Submit your recipe by March 31, and you will be among the first to know when the FREE cookbook will be available.
