Rabbi Jeffery M. Silberman, Associate Director, Department of Spiritual Care and Education; ACPE Supervisor
Rabbi Silberman has more than 25 years’ experience creating and leading integrative patient-centered spiritual care programs. A frequently published professional writer, editor and lecturer, Rabbi Silberman has contributed to five books. He established nationally accredited clinical pastoral education programs at several academic medical centers. Holding degrees from a Catholic university (University of Dayton), a Jewish seminary (Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion), and a Protestant seminary (Andover Newton Theological School), Rabbi Silberman was founding President of the National Association of Jewish Chaplains. I addition to being a Board Certified Chaplain and a certified Clinical Pastoral Educator, he has studied several martial arts, Ericksonian hypnosis, is a Reiki master and a Health Rhythms facilitator.
Chaplain Susan S. Liguori, M.Div.
Coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education, ACPE Supervisor
Chaplain Liguori was certified by the ACPE, Inc., as an Associate CPE Supervisor in 2012 and as CPE Supervisor in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree for Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Wisconsin. Chaplain Liguori graduated from Yale Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree in 2005. She did her chaplaincy training at Stamford Hospital and Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut. She is a Board-Certified Chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. She did her supervisory training at Greenwich Hospital, a member of the Yale New Haven Health System. Chaplain Liguori became Coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education for Bridgeport Hospital in December 2013. She is a Roman Catholic lay woman endorsed for ministry in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport.
