Are You Having a Heart Attack?
|
|
7 Surprising Symptoms
We’ve all seen the classic Hollywood heart attack
on the silver (and small) screen: sudden chest-clutching
pain followed by a collapse on the floor. But in
real life, most heart attacks are rarely classic.
Subtle discomfort felt in the middle of the chest (or on
the right or left side) is more common than severe
pain. Pain that feels like it travels down the left or right
arm is also common. Some people feel pain in the jaw,
back, shoulder or stomach.

Sometimes a person feels no chest pain and
the primary symptom is one of the following:
|
1. Nausea
2. Shortness of breath
3. Sweating
4. Fatigue
|
5. Dizziness
6. Weakness
7. A feeling of
doom or anxiety

These atypical (less common) symptoms are more common
in women, but they can occur in both men and women.

If you or someone you are with experiences these symptoms, call 9-1-1 immediately
and get to a hospital right away.
