What’s New at Bridgeport Hospital?

Dramatic Main Entrance

Upon arrival, visitors are sure to notice Bridgeport Hospital’s newest addition. The main lobby has undergone a major renovation which, thanks to the generosity of the Bridgeport Hospital Auxiliary, includes this majestic granite and glass water wall—a 12-foot-high continuously flowing soothing centerpiece accented with seasonal greenery. Inviting seating flanks the water wall, welcoming visitors to enjoy the serene surroundings. Many more renovations and additions to the main lobby are planned in the coming months.

State-of-the-Art EP Lab

When it comes to watching our favorite television shows, the bigger the screen, the better. When it comes to viewing your heart, our doctors hold the same opinion! Bridgeport Hospital’s Joel E. Smilow Heart Institute’s newly upgraded Electrophysiology (EP) Laboratory is now equipped with highly advanced state-of-the-art imaging technology, which includes an impressive larger monitor to display clearer, bigger and multiple views of a patient’s heart. The spacious EP Lab is used by the expert physicians and staff of the Connecticut Cardiac Arrhythmia Center (CCAC) at Bridgeport Hospital to provide sophisticated specialized testing, care and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. For more information, please call the CCAC at 203-334-2222.
