Specialized post-surgical care unit nurses provide constant monitoring and dedicated attention. After surgery, patients are transferred to our Surgical Intensive Care Unit, where, for the first eight hours, they receive one-to-one nursing care. The ratio is then one nurse to two patients for the entire length of stay in the SICU. When transferred to the cardiac unit, our experienced floor nurses educate patients in self-care, safety and the procedures to follow after surgery. |
