EMT/EMR Refresher Course

EMT and EMR refreshers are 30 hours in length and meet over the course of one weekend. Classes begin Friday evening and meet on Saturday and Sunday. The Monday following the long weekend the state written test is scheduled. The schedule may change without notice see the registration page for the moist current details.

Students must successfully pass the written exam with a score of at least a 70, students who do not achieve the minimum score will be required to retest at "No charge to the student." This 30 hour course meets the state requirement and new standards for renewal of your EMT or EMR certification. The cost of the course includes the state written test fee as well as CPR for the HCP renewal through the American Heart Association. There will also be a practical component included in the course.

Paramedic Refresher

This course is a 48 hour Connecticut approved Paramedic Refresher and Transition Program. That includes ACLS, PALS and CPR refreshers. Paramedic Refreshers are run once a year normally starting in September or October.

During the six day course, participants will review a broad spectrum of topics related to Advanced Life Support, advanced Cardiology, Respiratory Emergencies, Airway Management, Medical Emergencies and Trauma. Pediatrics, Respiratory, Airway Management, Medical Emergencies. Other topics include: Preparatory, Patient Assessment, Pharmacology, Invasive Monitoring Basics, and more.

ITLS Basic and Advanced Course

This comprehensive courses are designed for providers who are first to evaluate and stabilize the trauma patient. The courses provide complete training in the skills needed for rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilization and transportation of trauma patients.
