Biography Dr. Gaidos has over 10 years of experience caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. She enjoys helping patients to better understand their IBD and the medications that can be used to help treat their IBD. Dr. Gaidos believes that the goal of treating IBD patients is to try to get the patient feeling as close as possible to how they felt before their IBD symptoms started so they can return to enjoying life again. Dr. Gaidos will be starting additional clinical trials for the treatment of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease so that IBD patients at the Yale IBD Center will have more treatment options to choose from as not all IBD medications work for all IBD patients.
