Childbirth Preparation Classes

Full Day or Four Week Series Offered

Learn the essentials of labor and birth. Topics include: stages of labor, relaxation and breathing techniques, comfort measures, positioning for labor and birth, partner's role, pain management, medications, cesarean birth, and postpartum adjustment. Newborn care is also discussed during the four week class. The class is taught by a certified childbirth educator and provides total preparation for childbirth. The class is offered as a full day class or four, 2.5 hour long classes. Class size is limited to seven couples.

Four Week Series
Sundays from 5 to 7:30 pm
Three classes on Labor and Birth
Fourth class on Newborn Care

Full Day Class
Saturdays or Sundays from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm

Please note, parent tours are scheduled separately. Infant care class is offered during the hospital stay. Please bring food and drinks.

Understanding Birth (eClass)

This class is designed for parents who can’t make it to an on-site class, or those who simply prefer the convenience of online learning. Our curriculum provides comprehensive childbirth education that prepares expectant parents to have healthier and more satisfying birth experiences. Engaging video, life-like 3D animation and personal birth stories give parents the knowledge and confidence they need to make informed decisions about labor and birth. It takes 4 to 6 hours to complete and can be viewed on your PC, phone or tablet. You will have 90 days of access to your class once enrolled.

Understanding Cesarean Birth (eClass)

This class teaches parents about medically-necessary cesarean birth in a way that's interactive, easy to understand and relatable.
