Bridgeport Hospital’s REACH Program is an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The REACH Program provides intake assessments, medication management, group therapy, case management and after care planning.
The program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team that includes a child and adolescent psychiatrist, advance practice registered nurse, clinical coordinator, registered nurse, clinical social workers, recreational therapist, art therapist, psychiatric technician and support staff. Staff also consult with other medical and rehabilitation specialists and nutritionists as needed.
Patients may be referred by schools, clinics, physicians, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), emergency departments, inpatient facilities and other healthcare providers. Parents may also make direct referrals to the program.
Youth Program hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 11:30 am - 2:30 pm; Thursday (multi-family group): 9:45 am - 12:15 pm. Families are required to attend the weekly multi-family support group.

Child First is a national model working out of Bridgeport Hospital with very vulnerable young children (prenatal to five years old) and their families providing intensive, home-based services supporting children and families where there may be violence, neglect, mental illness or substance abuse. Child First works in close collaboration with Bridgeport Hospital to support healthy development of children and families in the community. Any child who is 5 years of age and younger and pregnant women living in the Greater Bridgeport area (Bridgeport, Stratford, Fairfield, Trumbull, Monroe or Easton) can be referred to Child First. Children are eligible if they have emotional or behavioral problems, developmental or learning problems or come from environments in which there is considerable risk to their health and development.
