Message from Anne Diamond to Bridgeport Hospital Patients and Community Regarding COVID-19

March 9, 2020

Dear Patient:

Bridgeport Hospital has learned that a patient under its care has tested positive for COVD-19, otherwise known as the Coronavirus. That patient has been isolated and is being cared for under strict CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) protocols, designed to keep you safe while you are in our care.

We are taking every precaution to ensure that this community-acquired case is contained as we continue to monitor the patient’s condition.

Our top priority remains the safety of patients, visitors and staff. To that end we adhere to all CDC guidelines and protocols. Yale New Haven Health has made information available about the Coronavirus on its website and has established a hotline, 203-688-1700 for questions from the community.

We appreciate your understanding and please don’t hesitate to ask any member of our staff will if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for entrusting your care to Bridgeport Hospital.

Sincerely,

Anne Diamond
President
Bridgeport Hospital
