East Tower 8 wins March – April Capacity Champions Cup

East Tower 8 (ET8) recently won its second Capacity Champions Cup for meeting its daily discharge target the most days in the previous two months. The unit met its discharge target 46 of 61 days (75 percent) in March and April, representing exemplary teamwork, communication and dedication to safe patient flow. The award is part of Yale New Haven Health’s efforts to improve patient throughput by ensuring that patients who are clinically ready to leave the acute-care setting experience a safe and timely discharge.
