West Tower 6 earns Capacity Champions Cup

Congratulations to the staff of West Tower 6 (WT6), who received Bridgeport Hospital’s Capacity Champions Cup for May - June. This is the unit’s second win since the start of the award, which recognizes units that meet their daily discharge target the most days in the previous two months. WT6 met its daily discharge target 44 of 61 days (72 percent) in May and June. The award is part of Yale New Haven Health’s efforts to improve patient throughput by ensuring that patients who are clinically ready to leave the acute-care setting experience a safe and timely discharge.
