Bridgeport Hospital has received a grant from the Connecticut Department of Public Health to provide outreach and education on lung cancer screening. Nora Hutten, lung cancer screening navigator, has been at the Bridgeport Hospital Farm Stand providing information about the life-saving test and upcoming screenings. To be eligible for the screening, a person must be between ages 55 and 80; a current smoker or have quit within the last 15 years; and have smoked a pack a day for 20 years or two packs a day for 10 years.
