Bryan Kerner, DO, is an anesthesiologist and assistant professor of anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine. He provides anesthesia care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures and has special expertise in regional anesthesia, which can help control pain, reduce the need for opioids, and support smoother recovery after surgery.
Dr. Kerner holds leadership roles within the Yale New Haven Health System and is actively involved in improving the quality and safety of surgical care. He helped develop and expand regional anesthesia programs across multiple hospitals, focusing on safe, consistent pain management and a positive patient experience. He also participates in patient safety initiatives designed to reduce errors and ensure high standards of care.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Kerner is dedicated to education and communication. He teaches physicians, nurses, and anesthesia trainees, and serves as a mentor to medical students and residents interested in anesthesiology.
