Debbie Hanifin, APRN

Debbie Hanifin, APRN, a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in pulmonology and sleep medicine, has a passion for connecting with patients in a way that makes them feel truly seen, heard and cared for. Debbie’s faith has shaped the way she cares for others, and she is a firm believer that every patient interaction matters, big or small. She strives to meet each person with kindness, compassion, patience, and love, while creating a space where they feel respected and understood. Debbie’s goal is to provide the highest level of care through compassion, strong patient relationships and evidence-based practice.

Debbie earned her master’s degree from Sacred Heart University, where she received the gold medal of excellence for graduating at the top of her class and achieving the highest GPA in the program. Prior to becoming an APRN, she worked as an internal travel registered nurse with Yale New Haven Health for seven years and has experience in multiple specialties, including cardiac care/cardiology, medical-surgical/med-surg, respiratory care/pulmonology, and stroke/neurology. Debbie also made the dean’s list throughout her bachelor’s degree at the University of Bridgeport. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
