Himanshu Rawal, MD

Himanshu Rawal, MD, a board-certified internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and sleep medicine physician, has a passion for clinical education and mentorship of young learners. Being board-certified in multiple fields of medicine, he is able to split his time among the medical ICU, sleep clinic, fellows pulmonary clinic and inpatient consultations. His clinical interests include asthma/COPD, lung cancer, pleural disease, sleep apnea and narcolepsy. Dr. Rawal graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, in New Delhi, India and moved on to do his residency training at MedStar Health Internal Medicine, in Baltimore, MD. He has numerous publications in prestigious journals including CHEST and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (AJRCCM), and his primary research focus has been on ICU recovery. In addition to English, he is fluent in both Hindi and Urdu.
