MaryAnne Horta, MD

MaryAnne Horta, MD, a board-certified endocrinologist, loves getting to know her patients on a personal level. Not just focusing on their medical conditions but also getting to know them as people and not just patients, so that they can better form a partnership for their care. She takes pride in many patients telling her she is very approachable and easy to talk to. Dr. Horta sees a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, weight/obesity, parathyroid disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, adrenal disorders and pituitary disorders. She performs in-office thyroid ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspirations/biopsies of the thyroid. Dr. Horta earned her medical degree from New York University in New York, New York. She completed her residency in internal medicine from the University of California San Diego and her endocrinology fellowship from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Prior to pursuing endocrinology, Dr. Horta worked as an internal medicine doctor for 11 years. In her free time, she focuses on raising her two sons and spends a lot of time watching their basketball games. Dr. Horta is board certified in Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
