Biography
Matthew Wosnitzer, MD, is a board-certified urologist. In addition to general urology, he specializes in male infertility and men’s health, including microsurgical fertility procedures – such as vasectomy reversal and sperm extraction –and management of low testosterone and erectile dysfunction.
A recognized expert in his field, Dr. Wosnitzer provides personalized and compassionate care at state-of-the-art facilities, including Bridgeport Hospital and Park Avenue Medical Center. As part of Northeast Medical Group, he has access to the resources of one of the country’s leading health systems – Yale New Haven Health.
Dr. Wosnitzer attended Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his urology training in the Department of Urology, NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Wosnitzer has authored and reviewed numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and medical journals. He has conducted research with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to promote male reproductive health. Dr. Wosnitzer teaches medical students and residents, and often presents at national conferences regarding male fertility issues.
