Create, Recover, and Reset

There are two different Net IDs that you could encounter: one from YNHH and one from Yale University. You will need a Yale University Net ID to access university services like the HRPP IRES platform. Please be sure to submit the appropriate request for university services.

Recovery and Reset

Forgot Your NetID Password?
You can reset your password using your recovery email.

1. Go to yale.edu/netid and select Forgot NetID Password.
2. Enter your NetID in lowercase letters and enter your recovery email. 
3. Select "Continue". A NetID password reset email will be sent to your recovery email.
4. Go to your recovery email account and locate the password reset email. Select Reset NetID Password button.
5. Enter your NetID and create a new password.
6. Tap or click Reset Password.

Unable To Reset Your NetID Password Via Email? 
You can have a Lead Admin, Operations Manager, or another coworker submit a NetID PIN Request Form on your behalf. Once the request is approved and you receive the PIN:

1. Go to yale.edu/netid and select "Activate NetID".
2. Complete the steps to reactivate your netID and set a new NetID password.
