5K Run/Walk, 3K Fitness Walk and Kid’s Fun Run presented by Dillon’s Services of Shelton
Milford, CT (May 13, 2025) – Nearly 600 runners, walkers and riders from Milford and surrounding communities helped make it a Mother’s Day to remember by participating in the Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K Fitness Walk and Kid’s Fun Run presented by Dillon’s Services of Shelton.
Bridgeport Hospital President Anne Diamond, DBA, JD, the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation and Milford Mayor Anthony Giannattasio welcomed the determined, energetic participants and supporters who spent a glorious Mother’s Day morning touring the newly paved streets of Milford.
"This means a lot to the community. It's a testament to the partnership between the community and the hospital,” said Giannattasio. “It brings people together from across the state to support our community hospital, and it's been that way for decades."

Joint Replacement Surgery Center. The Surgery Center offers a range of orthopedic surgical procedures, utilizing leading edge technology and a team of multidisciplinary specialists for patients suffering from painful or degenerative conditions of muscle, bone and joints including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and post-traumatic injuries.
“We are deeply grateful to the Milford community for joining us on such a beautiful Sunday to support our Milford Campus,” said Diamond. “The money raised will directly contribute to the continued growth of our orthopedic services, allowing us to further enhance the care experience for our patients and their families."
The net proceeds of more than $26,000 were in part due to sponsor support from Dillon's Services, Unitex Textile Services, Milford Vascular Institute, Oncology & Hematology of CT, Berchem Moses, Patel Podiatry, Woodbridge Running and many community in-kind sponsors who provided food and beverages for all participants.
