Pamela Sutton-Wallace, president, Yale New Haven Health, has been named to the American Hospital Association (AHA) Board of Trustees for a three-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026. She joined YNHHS as chief operating officer in 2022 and was named health system president in 2024. Sutton-Wallace has held a number of positions with the AHA, currently serving on the organization’s Operations Committee. She also holds leadership roles in the Connecticut Hospital Association, Carol Emmott Foundation, United Way of Greater New Haven and other organizations.
Christopher Whitlow, MD, PhD, has been named chief of Radiology at Yale New Haven Hospital and radiologist-in-chief at Yale New Haven Health System, as well as chair of the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and assistant dean for Translational Research at Yale School of Medicine, effective Oct. 20. He is currently the Isadore Meschan Distinguished Professor of Radiology and enterprise chair of Radiology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Whitlow earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from East Carolina University; his MD and doctor of philosophy degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine; and a master’s of healthcare administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Sarpong Boateng, MD, Internal Medicine resident, was named the 2025 Raymond T. Chung Emerging Liver Scholar by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Foundation. Dr. Boateng was one of 36 early-career physicians chosen and one of only four nationwide to receive a named award from AASLD. The professional organization is dedicated to advancing the science and practice of hepatology.
