In conjunction with Fairfield University, Bridgeport Hospital's Nurse Anesthesia Program is a dynamic and challenging educational experience that offers the personal interaction and supervision necessary to develop excellent nurse anesthetists.

Graduate Medical Education

Bridgeport Hospital is a Yale-affiliated community teaching hospital. As a resident in training at Bridgeport Hospital in any of the seven residencies or as a fellow in one of the five fellowship programs, you receive preparation for a lifetime of learning. Training at Bridgeport Hospital provides you with clinical supervision, didactic lectures and clinical skill through bedside teaching, formal lectures and seminars, and graded patient care responsibility. Our residents go on to take subspecialty fellowships, assume junior faculty positions, or join an existing group practice.

Spiritual Care & Education Department

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is interfaith professional education which brings theological students and ministers of all faiths (pastors, priests, rabbis, imams, and others) into supervised encounters with persons in crisis. Students develop new awareness of themselves as persons and of the needs of those to whom they minister. CPE is an experience in process education. The heart of CPE is ministry with people and learning through reflection, discussion, and evaluation with other students and supervisors.
