Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus Mother’s Day Run/Walk set for May 14

Friday, March 3, 2023

BRIDGEPORT, CT (March 3, 2023) – The 2023 Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K Fitness Walk and Kid’s Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday, May 14 starting at 7:45 am. The event includes something for every member of the family, thanks to the generosity of presenting sponsor Dillion’s Services of Shelton.

The Mother’s Day event includes a timed 5K run, or 5K and 3K fitness walks that begin and end adjacent to the Milford Hospital Campus. A Kid’s Fun Run (1/10 of a mile) starts off the morning’s activities. After the kids cross the finish line, the 5K run begins for those wishing to participate in a grand prix-recognized timed event. Finally, 5K and 3K walkers follow the runners along one of Milford’s most scenic seaside neighborhoods. All participants return to the start/finish line to enjoy music, refreshments, race announcements and awards. Bring the whole family and get Mother’s Day started on the right foot!

Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus Fund, which provides support for advanced medical technology and programs that improve the health of patients in the hospital’s care.

Register today for this year’s Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K Fitness Walk and Kid’s Fun Run and join in a morning of fun for the whole family! Adults 19 and older pay $27 from now until May 12, students aged 10 to 18 pay $15, and kids aged nine and under participate for free. There are prizes for the top three runners in all age groups and the fastest mother-daughter and mother-son teams receive special prizes.
