Psychiatry and Behavioral Health

Emotional or mental pain can hurt just as deeply as physical pain. And, like physical pain, symptoms shouldn't be ignored. If you, or someone you love, needs help coping with emotional, behavioral or psychiatric problems, Bridgeport Hospital's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health has a variety of services and programs that can help – including inpatient hospital care and outpatient day programs. A 24-hour Emergency Department crisis service is also available.

What is REACH?

Bridgeport Hospital’s REACH Program is an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for children, adolescents, adults and seniors.

The REACH Program provides intake assessments, medication management, group therapy, case management and after care planning.

REACH is located at 1558 Barnum Ave in Bridgeport, in the Barnum Avenue Business Center. For more information about our services, call 203-384-3377, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
