Adults 18 and older with acute psychiatric illnesses receive expert care at Bridgeport Hospital. Our dedicated 20-bed unit focuses on assessment and treatment for those with:
- Mood disorders (bipolar depression, major depression)
- Psychotic illnesses (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar mania)
- Dual diagnoses
Our program offers group sessions, including:
- Recreation therapy
- Music therapy
- Substance abuse
- Medication education
- Family groups
